Well, this is definitely the most girly outfit that I've worn so far.  It's a dress but also a onesie at the same time.  Pretty neat...  It's so comfortable that I drifted right off to sleep in Mom's Boppy.  I think this makes for quite a nice ensemble, don't you?

Here I am in the Aquarium Bouncer which is just one of the cool things that Mom and Dad got for me with the gift certificates from Grandpa and Grandma H.  It might take me a while to figure out how to use all of the features on this baby since it's pretty high-tech, even for me.  I enjoy it a lot and may post a more thorough review down the road once I've had more time to test drive it.

Time to settle down for a nice nap after a good meal.  The menu doesn't seem to offer much in the way of variety but I do usually find myself quite satisfied afterwards.  Here you can get a glimpse of my belly button which, in my opinion, is shaping up rather nicely.  I can't help but notice that Jerry keeps trying to sneak into my photos lately.  I think he's jealous since Lainey got all the attention on my May 17th blog entry.  In fact, that's the only entry to date which has a picture without me in it!  Sorry, Jerry...  I love both of you guys in equal amounts.  You will surely have your day in the sun soon.

There's been a recent development regarding my koala blanket.  Despite Mom and Dad's strict adherence to Dr. Karp's expert swaddling technique, my feet have started popping out.  Although Mom's first reaction was to assume that something about the blanket had magically changed (cut her some slack, she's very sleep-deprived as of late), it dawned on us that I was growing out of this thing so Mom ordered me something called the Miracle Blanket.  I wish it would hurry up and get here, for everybody's sake.

P.S.  No, I don't usually sleep with Mr. Peanut.  Mom just put the jar there to give some perspective on how tiny my feet are.

We went to the reservoir today.  What a beautiful place to go for a stroll!  I love this cool cap I got from Simon.  It's just perfect for beating the heat on a sunny day like today, even if it does sort of make me look like a boy...

I've been spending a bit of time hanging out with Dad in the Baby Bjorn this holiday weekend.  I'm finally just barely big enough to cruise around in here even with all of the straps on their smallest settings.   I think this thing should last us a while...

I'm starting to get used to bathing in the plastic tub.  Since my full head of hair gets pretty greasy within 2-3 days it's time for yet another bath.  Mom and Dad are beginning to figure out what water temperature is best for me.  I try to be accommodating by tolerating anything within a 0.01 degree range, but sometimes they still don't get it right.

I just love my new mobile setup since Mom changed things up by borrowing a few buddies from my Gymini and working them into the mix.  The "red dude" is named Robin even though I think he's a cardinal... I'm so fascinated by him that sometimes I get all worked up just keeping an eye on him and need to switch positions so that I can sleep.

As you can imagine, we have all been a bit sleepy these days.  I'm amazed Dad had enough energy to snap this picture!

Today was a big day.  This afternoon, Miss Gretchen came over to hang out with me and Mom.  Then this evening, Mom taught her first flute lesson since I came around and the O'Maileys brought over this towel which they made just for me!  It's so soft and beautiful and I just love it.  Can't you tell?

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Dad had to go back to work today, which he was very sad about.  I think it was harder for him than me.  On the bright side, Aunt Sarah came to meet me today for the first time which was so cool!

Figured I'd strike a pose for you while Dad was busy burping me.  It's not like I had anything better to do....  Mom and Dad have noticed that I'm getting a bit pudgier in the last few days.  What do you think?

I had about 30 seconds of Tummy Time today.  At first, I was wondering what I was supposed to do while in this bizarre position.  After a few grunts and groans, however,  I managed to lift my head up and kick and even switched my head position from one side to the other.  Here's a mid-grunt shot of my spectacular effort.

Mom and I spent some time reading out of the Black on White book today.  I especially liked the image of the eyeglasses.  I think I'm going to enjoy this whole "reading" thing.

I had my routine 2-week checkup (even though I'm only 11 days old) with the doc today.  Dr. Nguyen checked me out from head to toe and gave Mom and Dad two thumbs way up.  I weighed in today at 6 lbs, 4 oz which is a very nice 8 ounce gain since only 7 days ago when I weighed 5 lbs, 12 ozs at the doc's office.  I am now 20 inches long (up 1.5 inches since birth) and my head now measures 34.4 cm versus 32 cm at birth.  My nice weight gain is awesome news for Mom and Dad.  Since I've been bulking up nicely, Dr. Nguyen has told us we can shoot for up to 4 hours between overnight feedings which is a significant improvement over the old 2.5 hour routine.  I haven't decided yet whether I'm okay with waiting that long yet, since until now, Mom and Dad have always woken me up to eat.

Lainey the cat now regularly sleeps underneath me in the storage basket of my bassinet while I'm sleeping up above.  Neither of us seem to mind having a bunkmate and neither Lainey nor Jerry every jump into my sleeping area, so I guess you could say we have an understanding.

I took my first stroll around the neighborhood today and as you can see by the expression on my face, I enjoyed it very much.

I got to sport my new preemie-sized outfit today while sitting in Mom's chair.

I enjoy snuggling in Sarah's bouncy chair while Mom and Dad eat dinner.

I got to spend some quality nap time on Dad's chest tonight.  Life is rough...

I got my first bath at home today.  I really enjoyed it until it came time to rinse my hair.

I'm getting ready to go home since the doctor has told us that I've spent enough time tanning under the phototherapy lights.  That bottle next to me is one of those 20 ouncers, not a 2 liter!

Today the doc decided I needed to go back to the hospital and spend some time under the lights to work on my jaundice.  Once I got used to this crazy ordeal, I figured I might as well relax and work on my tan.

Gee, it's sure nice to be home.  The sun is out and life is good.  I think I'm pretty cute, don't you?

Here I am curling up in Dad's arms.  I get to go home for the first time today.  I can't wait!

Yesterday was very exhausting with the birth and all.  Time for a nice nap.

Mom and I got to spend some quality time together this evening.  I'm just a few hours old here and I already recognize the sounds of Mom and Dad's voices.  Life sure is grand!
