I'm getting pretty good at this!

I just love books!

I just love giving baby a big SMOOOOOOCH!

Our neighbors brought over this giant bunny balloon which provides endless entertainment.  I've been spending lots of time lately chasing this guy around the house!

Some other generous neighbors just gave me "Tony the Pony".  He's so soft and cuddly...  After all of that hard work chasing the bunny balloon, I thought I'd crawl into his lap for a little breather...

It's official!  I am now officially using American Sign Language to communicate with Mom and Dad!  This afternoon, just before my usual snack time while busy playing, I started to cry and then crawled over to Mom and signed for 'milk' to let her know I was hungry.  It's really amazing to be able to express my needs since there are so many words I can't yet say!  Even though I can already say words like Cat (Ga),Ma,Da,Uh-oh,Ball(bow),Mmm-mmm (doggie sound),Brrrrrr(you know, the sound a car makes),Baby(bay) and a few others, this should (in theory) allow me to let Mom and Dad know what's on my mind when I don't yet have the words on the tip of my tongue.  This is going to be fun!

Today we went hiking out in the Catoctin Mountains of western Maryland.  We saw beautiful vistas and a 78-foot cascading waterfall!  There were lots of big kids climbing up the rocks to get closer to the falls which looked like a lot of fun!  Maybe someday when I'm a big girl I'll try to talk Mom and Dad into letting me do the same...

Today we went to Ian's 2nd birthday party and had a great time.  I spent more time with Ian's dog than with Ian, but he seemed okay with it.  I just LOVE doggies!

Okay, so I'm a few months early but I'm just preparing for the fall.  This could be Favre's last chance, so I hope they're all busy preparing too.

P.S. - Mom and I called Dada today to let him know that I started saying his name upon seeing his picture in the Whoozit book.  I'm starting to talk a lot more these days as my tongue and brain continue to coordinate themselves!

Well, today G&G had to go home but we sure had fun while it lasted.  I hope they'll come back really soon!

Our neighbors rented out one of these crazy contraptions today so I thought I'd give it a try.  Very cooool!

I sure is nice having Granny and Grandpa B here to visit.  We played peek-a-boo and all sorts of games together and had a great time reading books full of different babies playing peek-a-boo, things we can find around the house, and lots and lots of animals!

When I'm not climbing into boxes, I can be found in my basket.  This thing even doubles as a car if Mom or Dad agree to "drive"...

Anytime we get a new box in the house, I just love trying to climb into or on top of it.  This one's just perfect.  It's nice and low for easy climbing and even has a removable lid if I want to nestle inside!

I don't know why Mom and Dad bother with half of the crazy toys in our house.  Don't they know by now that non-toys are the best toys?

The world is full of endless possibilities.

Between my ever-changing face and always-increasing palette of facial expressions,  it seems I'm sporting a new look with each passing day.  I don't recall what I was saying here, but whatever it was must have been really important.

It sure was considerate of Mom and Dad to put all of these soft, cushy devices on every table corner.  They come in really handy as a toy or snack!

I'm not so sure that Mom and Dad will find this as an acceptable long-term eating posture, but it sure is comfortable.

P.S. - Yes, I'm strapped in.  The straps are just in stealth mode.

It's ten minutes before seven which means its time for some good books before bed.  My latest favorites include Ten Little Ladybugs, Percival the Plain Little Caterpillar,  and the one I'm reading here, From Head To Toe.

This has been a recurring phenomenon lately.  I tend to wear my shirt more like a scarf for a while before bedtime since I'm quite the squirm worm as night-night draws nigh.
